David L. McDonald

David L. McDonald, 66, of 1319 Elden Dr., Alpena passed away Saturday November 15, 2008 at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

Born November 30, 1941 in Alpena to the late Henry and Selma (Yockey) McDonald and married Joan Smigelski on April 22, 1960. Dave and his brother Richard owned and operated McDonald Brothers Collision for over 40 years. He was a member of the Alpena Eagles.

Surviving are his wife Joan, daughter Cindy and husband John Sheedy of DeWitt, son Todd and wife Carla McDonald of Gun Lake, 4 grandchildren: Ryan, Justin, Alissa Sheedy and Devon McDonald; sister Eileen McPhillips of Saginaw; twin brother Richard and wife Carol McDonald of Alpena; sister in law Shirley McDonald of Alpena and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by two brothers James and Robert.

Mr. McDonald is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and where funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Fr. Patrick Maher officiating.
