Calvin J. Brown

Calvin J. Brown, 73, of 3118 Lake Winyah Road, Alpena passed away Sunday November 16, 2008 at home.

Born on June 15, 1935 in Lachine to the late J. W. and Grayce (Spicer) Brown and married Rose Lipski on July 6, 1957. Mr. Brown worked at Huron Portland Cement Company for 30 years before retiring in 1986. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and taking home movies of his grandchildren playing.

Survived by his wife Rose of 51 years, children Audrey (Jay) Riesmeyer, Jackson (Janine) Brown, Delynn (Bob) Carr, Chris (Janice) Brown, Ken (Yvonne) Brown; 22 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Phil Brown, Joel (Patti) Brown and 1 sister Janet (Louis) Crane.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by 1 sister Margaret Hannan.

Mr. Brown is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Gulish officiating.
