Ronald Lee Wilder

Ronald Lee Wilder, 76, of 241 June Street, Alpena, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at his home after an extended illness. He was surrounded by his family.

Ron was born October 11, 1932 to Roy and Cora (Daly) Wilder. He married Annabelle King on December 29, 1951. He worked for Alpena County for 40 years and retired as County Maintenance Superintendent in 1994.

Surviving are his wife Annabelle; two daughters Janice Wilder of Alpena, Brenda (Randy) Toland of Deerfield, IL; three sons: Wesley (Char), Wayne, and Wendell (Saleana) all of Alpena; eleven grandchildren: Janis (John) Toland-Galarza, Justa, Jimmy and Jeffrey Toland, Kristyn, Alex, Rachel and Jacob Wilder, Joshua Phillips, Katherine and Emilee Wilder; two great grandchildren Lucas and Anya Galarza; and one sister Jeanne (Charles) Leuders of Sturgis, MI.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Otheda and two brothers Arthur and Gerald.

Friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 - 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the Alpena Free Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ross Wilder and Rev. Shane Bengry officiating.

Interment: King Settlement Cemetery
