Larry Edward Eppinger

Larry Edward Eppinger, 67, of 237 Potter Street, Alpena, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Mr. Eppinger was born January 3, 1941 in Flint to Harry and Loretta (McMillan) Eppinger. He married Jo Anne Haiss April 6, 1974, and she preceded him in death July 3, 1999. Larry worked for Oven Fresh for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Tranelli of New York, Irene and Tony Griffis of Tennessee; one son, Fred Blankenship and Shelly of Alpena; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Ward and Peg of Clio; sister, Betty Porritt of Flint; and several nieces and nephews; children, Tammy Eppinger, Julie Eppinger, and Joseph Eppinger.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Robert, Raymond, Don Eppinger; and three sisters, Jean Eppinger, June Wilson, and Alice Venters.

Mr. Eppinger is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at Alpena Free Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Shane Bengry officiating.
