David Philip Szejbach, 67, of 202 S. 12th Ave., Alpena, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008, at home.

Born in Alpena to the late James and Florence (Maciejewski) Szejbach and married Janie Ferris on August 11, 1973. Dave owned and operated Standard Provision until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and snowmobile racer in Alpena, and an outstanding athlete for Alpena Catholic Center in the late 1950's.

Surviving are his wife, Janie; 4 children, David II (Joanna Ludwiczak), Jacci (Frank) Gonzales, Sonya DeRosset, Mary Szejbach; 7 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Blondyne (William) Klimek, Violet Lewandowski, Phyllis Koppal, Doris (Edward) Partyka, Barbara (Richard) Dowling; and 1 brother, Stanley (Arlene) Szejbach.

Mr. Szejbach was preceded in death by his brother Harold.

Mr. Szejbach is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Wednesday from 2 until time of service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Leslie Nye officiating.
