Who is Mary Thurston? That’s a question we’ve all been trying to answer since she was beamed down from the mother ship almost three years ago to work as the afternoon host on 94.1 Thunder Country. Though determined to become a “cowboy’s sweetheart” and the next Mrs. Tim McGraw, Mary left country music behind in 2006 to anchor the afternoon “drive-time” shift on the 100,000 watt powerhouse that is 107.7 The Bay.
Mary spends her free time concocting batches of cupcakes for her coworkers and fan club, whom Mary rather manically cultivates (some say “bribes”). Every Thursday, Mary shares her cupcake recipes with the world when she presents her “Cupcake Recipe of the Week”. Want to taste the cupcakes without going to the trouble of making them? Head to Miller Street Bakery in Alpena for their jumbo version of Mary's cupcake recipe for only $1.07!
During football season, you’ll find Mary rooting for her beloved Michigan Wolverines and prowling the sidelines of Alpena High School home games as the “Voice in the Stands” for 107.7 The Bay’s Wildcat football broadcasts.
Join Mary every weekday from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. as she spins your favorite tunes, talks about the news and sports, takes listener requests and phone calls, and tells wacky stories from her life which will be sure to make you laugh—or at least have you scratching your head. Whatever your reaction, you’ll definitely be entertained!
