Alpena Police arrest suspects for running criminal enterprise

August 28, 2008 - 03:12 a.m. EST

Four suspects are facing felony charges related to a rash of crimes that occurred last summer, in the Alpena area.

City, state, and county police combined forces during the investigation of various crimes including home invasions, larcenies from vehicles and yards, business burglaries and property damage.

The suspects are accused of committing more than 20 separate criminal acts. They are each being charged with a single count of conducting a criminal enterprise.

Some of the stolen merchandise has been recovered but much has been sold on the internet.

The names of the suspects have not been released, pending their arraignment in court.
