PRESS RELEASE FROM MICHIGAN STATE POLICE:

The Michigan State Police Alpena Post is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing person from the Ossineke, Michigan area.

At approximately 10:30pm on June 8th, 2012, Lisa Marie Knight, 29 years of age, was last known to be at a friend’s house in Ossineke, Michigan.

After friends and family did not hear from Knight for a few days, a missing person complaint was filed with the Michigan State Police Alpena Post on June 12, 2012.  At present, Knight still has not had any contact with friends or family.  Although foul play is not being ruled out, Knight has been known to lose contact with various friends and family for short periods of time.

As a result, Knight is currently listed as a voluntary missing person until evidence of the contrary is received.

Photographs are attached to this release.   It is noted that she has a distinct tattoo on her chest, one running from her left elbow on the back of her arm across the top of her back and down the back of her right arm to her elbow.

The Michigan State Police is requesting that anyone  having information on the whereabouts of Lisa Knight or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance to please contact the MSP Alpena Post at (989) 354-4101 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.

Anyone actually observing someone that they believe to be Lisa Knight is requested to call 911 immediately and request a police officer to make contact with that person for identification purposes.

The Northeast Michigan Crime Stoppers Program services Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, and Presque Isle Counties.  Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the discovery of a missing person, the arrest of a wanted fugitive, or that assists in solving a criminal complaint.
