Two young men were killed in auto accident Wednesday morning, northwest of Gaylord, near Boyne City.

A resident on Mount Bliss Road heard the crash and reported it to Michigan State Police around 3 a.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed 21 year-old Tailee Jordan Flick of East Jordan lost control of his Ford super duty pickup truck rounding a curve, overcorrected, crossed the centerline, went off the other side of the road, overturned and struck a utility pole.

Flick and a passenger in the truck, 19 year-old Mathew William Warrington of East Jordan, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
