Governor Rick Snyder has reappointed a man from northeast Michigan to the Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.

The nine-member board, housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, oversees and regulates the licensure and practice of real estate brokers and salespersons in Michigan.

Shawn Huston will serve another four years on the board, subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.  Huston is owner of Huston Real Estate Inc. in Lewiston, a business owned by his family since 1948.

Huston serves as director of the Water Wonderland Board of Realtors, a professional trade association serving the counties of Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Mackinac, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego and Presque Isle.
