A dad and his three young sons were rescued from Fletcher Floodwaters near Hillman Monday night.

Shortly before 10 p.m. a citizen called 911 after they heard shouts of help coming from the water.

A few owners of local landings helped a  Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officer and a Michigan State Police trooper at the scene.  The stranded boaters were found at about 11:30 p.m.

The father said his boat had capsized.  He and his three boys, ages 5, 7 and 10 were not injured.

It is not known how the boat sank.  No other details are available at this time.
