The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for a portion of northeast Michigan.
The warning is effect from Friday afternoon into the evening hours for Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, Oscoda and other counties.
Weather officials say high temperatures, low relative humidity and gusty winds will make conditions ideal for wildfires.
A Red Flag Warning is issued when critical fire weather conditions are imminent.
