The Montmorency County Sheriff’s Office assisted at a weekend fire near Hillman.

The fire broke out Sunday afternoon, at a structure off Bell Road in Rust Township.

Tri Township Fire and EMS quickly responded to the scene and battled the blaze for about two hours.

No one was hurt.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Sheriff deputies are also investigating several small incidents, including the vandalism of a valve box at Linn Energy in the Bass Lake area; the theft of a sump pump in Hillman; and complaints of speeding and reckless off road vehicles in Lewiston.
