Pet of the Week for Week of 2/27/12
Hi Everyone! My name is Tangie and I’m about three months old. I’m a little “orange” – or maybe “tangerine” colored boy kitty….do you think that’s how I got my name? I came into the shelter looking to find a new life and like most cats I’m going to set the rules. I want lots of petting and lap sitting, dishes of good food and water, good conversations, catnip mice, and last but certainly not least – Love! If you want to see me I’m right up in the lobby – the very first play cage when you walk in. They put me there so I would be seen and hopefully find my new home; but the problem is they keep putting another kitten in with me. That really doesn’t appear to be a problem at first; I enjoy the company of another kitten – someone warm to sleep with and someone to play with too, BUT, as soon as I get to know the other kitten someone will come in and adopt him and that’s that problem. I’m glad for the others but when will “I” be the one, I don’t want to be the one passed over again and again. Maybe I just need to speak out and tell everyone what a great kitten I am – A real social butterfly as I love people (no shyness here), I like to play (and nap), I’m very good at using my litter box (I never even miss), I’m already fixed (no kids for me), have all my shots and a microchip too; and if you look real close you will see a “M” on my forehead – that means “MINE” come and make me “your” kitty – I promise to be a joy in your life for all of mine. I’m in the very first cage when you walk in – all alone as I really don’t want any competition. Call the shelter if you want to know more 989-785-3738.
