Chad Edward Dagner, 33, passed away the 27th of July, 2011, at Tendercare/Alpena following his brave battle with Juvenile Huntington’s Disease.
 
Chad was born at ARMC in Alpena, Michigan on January 25, 1978 to Richard and Nona Dagner.  He grew up on the north side and attended Lincoln Elementary School.  He was a proud graduate of ACES Academy.
 
As a young boy he played Little League Baseball.  In his teens he switched to recreational basketball and playing b-ball with his friends at Immanuel Church.
 
Chad lived for his sports.  His favorite teams were Tigers, Red Wings and the Pistons.
 
He was a volunteer at the “Caring Place” until becoming a client there himself where he made many friends.  Chad had called “Tendercare” home because of all the special friends he had made there.
 
Chad will be remembered for his funny shirts and hats.  His goal in life was to make people laugh and smile, so easy going and eager to please everyone and always a smile no matter how rough the road became.
 
He loved being called Uncle Chad by all his nieces and nephews.
 
Surviving are his mother, Nona (Dagner) Valley; stepfather, Bryan Valley; brother, Jason; sister-in-law, Kristen; stepbrother, Brad and wife Jenny Valley; many nieces and nephews; grandparents, James and Theresa Ohlrich; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friends, Tim Gray, Mary Garant, and Tendercare and Caring Place staff.
 
Preceding him in death were his father, Richard Dagner; grandparents, Wallace and Betty (Bisson) Dagner; uncle, Allen Dagner; aunt, Lori McCain; and cousin, Lee Dagner.
 
Chad’s last words would be “Predators Drool – Red Wings Rule,  GO  BLUE !!
I’ll always remember all of you.
 
Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Williams officiating.
