Antrim Republican to challenge Stupak
A Republican has stepped forward to challenge Bart Stupak for the U.S. House of Representatives First Congressional District.
According to his facebook page, 63 year-old Tom Stillings has lived in Antrim County’s Torch Lake Township for the past 14 years. Stillings began his career in the automobile business, working for Ford. During the 1980’s and 90’s he operated his own steel trading – brokerage company; and since 2000 has been operating as an independent sales representative.
In his campaign announcement Stillings said, “I see America being changed in very disturbing fashion. I see the overthrow of dearly held American values. I see disdain for that which is traditionally American. Our leaders have lost sight of the values and principles that made America the greatest society on Earth.”
Stillings has lived in Michigan since 1970. He served six years on the Torch Lake Twp Planning Commission and one term as a Township Trustee.

I see the same things. So far, he has my vote.

After reading his bio on his facebook page, it is obvious that he has had far more practical experience and knowledge of what it takes to run a business and earn a living than Stupak, Levin, or Stabenow. Or, more importantly, Obama.
Thumbs up, Mr. Stillings!
